Weekend

So, it was a crazy weekend. IT girl and I did well. I guess we are seeing each other now? I am not sure how it is going to work out. She lives in a different state. Actually, that is all she talked about was her city and how she hated it, but that is all she talked about. I am sure you can guess that she is from Texas. She compared everything we did to a place or something in Texas. It got old fast. So, I would change the subject.

We went out with my friends one night and one of my really good friends is getting married to a guy from Texas. He is moving up here to be with her. They talked about Texas the entire time, which was fine, because I had a lot of other friends there, and it distracted her from talking to me about Texas.

I don't mean to complain about Texas, but for someone who says they don't like living there, that is 90% of what she talked about all weekend. I am not saying that I didn't have a good time with IT girl. I just wish that she would talk about other things 85% of the time.

Other than that, I might have a new car on Friday. I am doing the Obama $4,500 trade in deal. I convinced my dad to trade me his old beat up truck for my broke down Corolla. I am so excited to get the truck. Now I just have to change my budget to afford the payments for the next few years.

Oh yeah, does anybody know of a job? I really want a new job. I am tired of doing Accounting part time during school. It is sucking the life out of me. I have a few degrees, so I can do anything!

  1. My favorite comment from IT Girl....
Do you guys have a Home Depot?

SO was the rest of the weekend good??? What else did you guys do? Exciting about seeing each other. Maybe she'll get off her Texas horse soon!

  2. Yeah, it was good. Saturday we went car shopping. That went really well. We went to my boss's after 4th of July party at her "compound". They had a band, food, and a huge fire works display, that was probably the best in the state. It lasted 45 minutes. IT girl said it was better than all the ones in Texas, so it was a good one.

Sunday I took her to the airport.

I did make the chocolate chip pancakes. She liked them. She put honey on them.

  3. He he, I love when people compare everything to 'back home', it does get tired very fast. I think I did it when I lived in the UK and I really should apologise to anyone I inflicted that on.
